Meet Michele
Expertise. Wisdom. Integrity.
I’m proud to be a social worker. When someone is suffering, I don’t view them as broken or damaged. I understand their struggle within the context of their familial, social, and cultural environment and the challenges they present. Their relationships and experiences, though they may be problematic or painful at times, are their teachers. Their choices and actions, however maladaptive or unhealthy they may be, are genuine attempts at survival in a difficult world.

I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, couples, and families.
I earned my Master of Science degree from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1993. I’m licensed to practice in New York and Florida. In New York, I hold the” R” privilege, which is the highest level of licensure for an LCSW and requires rigorous postgraduate training and specialized supervision.
For much of my career, I practiced as part of a multidisciplinary team. This invaluable experience enables me to get you on the right path to feeling better when addressing your presenting concerns.
I’ll show up for you every time with energy and enthusiasm.
My personality is direct, warm, animated, and interactive.
I have the ability to communicate with you about the tough stuff in a way that is compassionate, loving, and inspiring. You'll be able to hear it and really get it.
So, come just as you are in this moment, and we will do this together.
Are you ready to get started?

My Story
"Like a lotus flower, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world." - unknown
I am no stranger to growth and change.
Early in my adulthood, I made life choices that were largely influenced by the values and priorities of others, and it wasn’t long before I knew something was seriously wrong.
It impacted my emotional well-being, my physical health, and my relationships. I started asking the big questions. Who am I? What is my purpose? How can I live a balanced and meaningful life?
I left a promising career in finance to do some soul-searching. Three months into my break, I submitted my application to Columbia University School of Social Work. Within 6 months, I started graduate school. At the start of my graduate studies, I began my own healing journey. It was tough. It involved taking myself apart to put myself back together in a more authentic and truthful way. It was painful and confusing at times, but I did it. I found the direction and inspiration I needed and started taking steps toward creating meaning and balance in my life - I was 24.
This process meant taking risks and enduring change, which was difficult and not always supported. Change, whether it is desired or forced upon us, can be highly stressful. It’s a process that takes place in both our inner and outer worlds. It can feel scary and hopeless but resistance to growth and change keeps us stuck in the in-between, where we can become depressed, anxious, disconnected, and lonely.
I’ve lived my life passionately exploring my inner and outer world, and I created a purposeful life that works for me. I started my personal growth journey way back then, and it continues to this day in one way or another. When I relate to clients and their experiences, it’s because of my unique personal and professional path.
Now it’s your turn. You can do this.
My clients get better. They stick with it, they heal, they change, and they grow. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing so many of my clients evolve and achieve goals beyond what they ever imagined was possible for themselves. This brings me great joy.
We are social creatures. We are people who need people, and I believe we are all connected and vital in creating the world we live in.
Let’s work together to create your best life and, hopefully, a better world.
